Composition

  • Anhydrous Glucose BP 20 gm
  • Sodium Chloride BP 3.5 gm
  • Sodium Citrate BP 2.9 gm
  • Potassium Chloride BP 1.5 gm

Indication

  • Diarrhoea (Treatment)
  • Electrolyte depletion (Prophylaxis and Treatment)
  • Maintenance of water and electrolytes
  • Treatment for acute diarrhoeal disease in infants and children
  • Prevention and treatment of dehydration from diarrhoea

Dosage

  • Depending upon age and severity of dehydration.
  • Infants and Children – 1-2 Liters over a period of 24 hours
  • Adults – 2-4 Liters over a period of 24 hours
  • Continue treatment until diarrhoea stops
